My client requested a logo for the Department of Economics at the University of Wyoming College of Business. The tone was to signal strength and stability, while portraying the department's specialty in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. The target audience is students, peers, and funders.
The logo is formed with regular, rectangular shapes to signify stability. The three brown rectangles are arranged to emulate a bar graph, meant to represent marketing. Furthermore, the brown rectangles along with the gold backing is an abstracted form of a tree. This form functions as a symbol of strength and to bring forth the idea of natural resources. Finally, the colors and typeface are compliant with the UW branding guidelines.

The design is simple and bold in the interest of being a strong, memorable logo.
